  • Circumnavigating the globe

    5 years ago I ate at an IHOP in Hollywood with Brett, J & Allia. We drove east to Vegas then flew east again to England. Over the next few years I flew further east to Australia, and then yesterday to LA where I completed the circle by eating pancakes with Kat in that same Hollywood IHOP.

    Heading only east I have ended up back where I started, and for the first time have circumnavigated the entire planet 😀

    Without falling off the edge even once.

    I think that means I’m now living one day in my own future..?

    Okay, there’s an angry sex worker (named Rochelle) outside our room, shouting and banging on the door next to ours. We laughed. She took offence – and promptly kicked in our door.

    Just had to explain to hotel management that the damage was caused by an angry sex worker.

    I’ve been worrying lately about how to tell the difference between a sleepwalker and a zombie.
    Either way, if you guess wrong there’ll be consequences.

    First flight of the trip kicked off with a soaking wet seatbelt. Was the previous passenger a sweaty bloke? Someone with poor bladder control? A vomiting baby?

    All awesome possibilities – especially now that the wet is starting to soak through my T-shirt.

    My 3 year Australian visa ran out yesterday!

    I now need to ask permission every time I leave the country, or they won’t let me back in!

    Booked some of our European flights today:
    Manchester – Rome – £18 ($27)
    Two days in Rome, then Rome – Paris – £11 ($17)
    Two days in Paris, then Paris – Manchester – £5 ($8)

    Europe is WAY cheaper than I remember!

    Currently attempting to resurrect my recently deceased PS3 using nothing but a hairdryer and a random ‘how-to’ guide I found online. What could possibly go wrong?

    Just got a $200 voucher with a card that says, ‘Congratulations Graeme, on your outstanding efforts on the beach volleyball court!’
